Meet the jumpers…

Crowles
Jared Crowley loves the sun. Yet don't borrow his sunscreen (unless you want a palm full of mayonnaise!). After a sun-filled day, he'll usually butter up and shave before a night out on the town. If you happen to catch Jared out at that week's hippest discotheque, be sure to keep your bottle o'beer close by your side (unless you want a marshmallow stuck to the end of it!). Said Crowley: "You never know when you're gonna need 'em." Marshmallows, those are.

Mike McCleary
You may think that this is a picture of Mike on a fishing trip. He actually just forgot his lunch on the long ferry to Nantucket, got hungry, and took it upon himself to fish some food right from the sea. Mike ate the whole thing and refused to share any with Russell, in the background there, checking his phone to see if he won that eBay auction for a new lawnmower. No clue why everyone's topless.

Eddie Devin
Eddie once went to a garden party, only to catch a pie... IN THE FACE! Swiftly, he bounced back and proceeded to assume DJ duties for the outside festivities. ACE OF BASE! Whilst taking many a photo at said shindig, he tagged his subjects ON THE FACE!(book). That night he went home and sat down to a fresh episode of NBC's Community, co-starring CHEVY CHASE!

Dan McDonagh
This three-time robe wearer shares that honor with no other. Last year, he broke his own personal best and the standing JJ earnings record, pulling in a total of $1,657.50. This year, Tug is running the first official Nantucket Jolly Jump and has commissioned a faithful crew of island jumpers to spread the mission of this cause beyond the mainland.

Christine Rocket
When Christine isn't gallivanting around a galaxy far, far away, she's better known down here on Earth as Jackie O'Brien's sister. Let's give it up for Princess Rocket!

Mikey Vantine
Well, what can you say about Mike Vantine? 2010 Inductee into the Brownie's Beer Die Open (BBDO) Hall of Fame? Sure. Co-creator of the annual Summer Solstice alcoholic marathon? Yeah. Sharp dresser? He wishes. Anyway, one year Mike had the clever idea to charge a $1 entrance donation in addition to the $20-buyin for his weekly poker night, sometimes drawing in more than 20 rounders (with rebuys encouraged before the third blind :D). He raised more than $1,000 that year. That's why Mike is part of yet another elite group, as one of the Jolly Jump's Top Dogs.

Justin Conover
When it comes to license pictures, Jolly Jump Top Dog himself Justin Conover knows no equal. Of course, this talent did not come easy to the mug-shot maven, as he spent hours in front of the mirror rehearsing one Saturday before his first driving test. Yet his hard work would pay off and, after only knocking over two traffic cones during the parallel parking section of the exam, he found his mark in the drab digs of the DMV, looked up into the camera and smiled... [SNAP] Nailed it.

Kristin Woodford
The newest edition to the Woodford Family, little Hazel, would like to let you know about her favorite aunt, Kristin Woodford. Her mommy and daddy (Brooke & Bryan Woodford) are hard at work running the #JJ2014, so Hazel has taken it upon herself to vouch for the best Auntie ever. She only has one wish, and that's for you to...

Dan Torpey
This man isn’t human; he’s a Danimal. Carving up and down the frozen rivers of Wilmington, Mass., a young Danimal developed a sheer immunity to the sub-zero New England temps. He’s a great addition to the Jolly Jump squad. We also hear he’s a good cook.

Granderson
Greg Anderson, an Abington, Mass. native, has shipped out to Sydney, Australia. He may be Down Under, but he's still one of the veterans and a pivotal member of our cause.

Josh Russell
Josh Russell is a polite lad. He'll greet you with a 'Good. 'N you?' at the top of the morning. Rusty'll greet you with a 'Good. 'N you?' no matter what, in fact. "Russell, what time is—" "Good. 'N you?" "Russell, have a nice—" "Good. 'N you?" Sometimes he gets it right. "Russell, how are you?" "Good. 'N you?"

The Watterses
Welcome the newlyweds, Jenn and Jon Watters, to jollyjump.org. Jenn is daughter to Jackie O'Brien and Jon designed the lovely banner that adorns the top of this here page. Needless to say, by Jolly Jump standards, they are a power couple.

Cummings
Sean Michael Cummings is a gentleman of many talents. When we worked at Dick's Sporting Goods, he'd chirp authentic cricket sounds to indicate the sheer lack of customers in the Team Sports section. Another talent he possesses is the uncanny ability to photo bomb unsuspecting Crowles (seen here, to the right).

Ryan Woodford
The youngest of the Woodford Men, the little dog hails from Scituate, Mass. Ryan's literally the nicest person in the world until he is whacking you with his lacrosse stick. Good thing he keeps a first aid kit in his fanny pack.

Annis
Don't worry about Allen Annis. He's Irish. "Who cares? I'm Irish," he'll say. "Did I ever tell you about the time I woke up in Ireland? We started the day off with a big Irish breakfast. Then we pulled the Irish exit and continued on down the path. I ran into a bunch of Irish guys, but our Irish tempers got the best of us. The ensuing brawl poured into a pub. And the rest is history. Sláinte."

Patrick Collins
Patrick's the man, yet he's only a boy. His hockey crossover is quick and his heart
is strong. Patrick is a veteran Jolly Jumper who braves the cold every year
by jumping into the ocean to raise money for Cancer Research and, ultimately, a cure!

Jake Poulin
Jake Poulin has vowed to match all of his 3PT (Poulin's Pub Poker Tournament) winnings, backdated from 2006. Unfortunately, that only amounted to about $5 short of what it cost to purchase that Indiana Jones hat. So he needs YOU! to donate! In Snakes, you can trust.

Brownie
Jay Brown is a man who needs no introduction. Though if you've just climbed out from under a rock on the South Shore, you should know that he spearheads the annual bracket-style tournament, Brownie's Beer Die Open (BBDO) as Founder, CEO, CFO, Commissioner and Publicist, which all fall under the wheelhouse of Jay Brown Productions. Official BBDO Filmmaker: Brian "Mags" Magararu.

Kristen Capone
No cart path is safe on a course where Kristen Capone golfs. The lack of rearview mirrors in the electric-powered player conveyance requires you, the golfer/cart operator, to have eyes in the back of your head. For you never know when Capone will roar round the narrow asphalt course avenues and right up on your golf bags. Meep. Meep. "We're just going to play through. OK?"

Connor Fraser
Connor is a ladies' man. He's brother to Brooke (Fraser) Woodford, son of Deb Fraser, and a great uncle to little niece Hazel. As you can see by his profile pic, Big Country lives and breathes football. Well, when Jan. 1 rolls around, Big Country will line up in a three-point stance opposite the Atlantic Ocean. My money's on Connor.

Laura Kelly
Don't let Laura Kelly's height fool you. She is a fundraising force to be reckoned with. An Abington native, Laura ventured west, to sunny California, where she earned her law degree. She has since returned, a full-fledged lawyer. In 2013, she cross-examined her way to win Rookie of the Year.

Marco Gulinello
The only celebrity Marco ever met was Tony Danza. The interaction went a little something like this: MARCO: "Hi, Mr. Danza, my name is Marco Gulinello." DANZA: "Hey, oh! Marco GulllliNELLO! Angela! Get a load of this kid! Mona! Get down heah! It's Marco GullliNELLO! How you doin'?" MARCO: "Fuggeddetabouditt!" DANZA: "Heyooo! Oh! Hey! My kinda guy!" Marco then asked him Who IS the Boss? and Danza decked him.

Tim Walls
Wallsie is the best beach volleyball player I know. If he applied one percent of his gusto for the "bump, set, spike" to the Jolly Jump, he'd easily be pulling in five figures for this charity. On Jan. 1, 2015, he'll return to the beach to overhand serve an ace against cancer.

Bill Kelly
Billy Kelly is Laura's dad. He begins preparation for the Jolly Jump months in advance. With a cool brewski in his hand he gazes out over the frosty white caps of a tumultuous sea. He studies the ocean so that he can beat its frigid grip. On Jan. 1, he has yet to be defeated.

Andy Alchorn
I've been told Andy Alchorn (right) is a DJ. He also brews beer. It looks like he also has a wife and young boy. That looks like it was a good day in that picture. I really can't come up with any reason why you shouldn't sponsor this man.

Big Joe
Meet Big Joe. A man of means and a no-nonsense attitude, Big Joe, of Dedham, enjoys winding rides on the seat of his Harley Davidson to extend weekends well beyond the horizon. Ask him to sing "House of the Risin' Sun" and get ready to float away on a melodious rendition his blessed pipes belt out for all who will blissfully listen.

Phil Nadeau
Phil is the Pride of Brockton, Mass. This winter, when he is not playing hockey with his young son, or his old washed-up friends, he will be out raising funds for this cause. I have asked Phil to jump in the water for seven straight years and he has always looked at me like I'm crazy, this year he didn’t hesitate and said yes, which probably means he has gone crazy, but lucky for us that is a good thing. Please get crazy and donate to Phil’s page here.

Erin Vasselian
Jumping for the first time this year is a no-brainer for Erin. Helping veterans and their families is the sole mission of her charitable organization, The Sergeant Daniel Vasselian Memorial Fund, Inc. Thanks to Erin’s recommendation 1/3 of this year’s net proceeds will be going to veteran Chris Lessard and his ill wife Dora. Last year at this time, from an army base in Afghanistan, and only days before his final sacrifice, Danny found the few minutes it takes to follow the link and donate to his buddy Greg Anderson. I would like to say that shocked me however, it was a typical Danny V move. If you can find those few minutes, please do so and support Erin in her very first Jolly Jump.

Bowsah
Chris Bowser, the Dark Horse, came from nowhere in 2012 to take down Top Dog status. The chips were stacked. Every frogskin cut and dried. And yet, in walks the Bowse Hound himself with a fresh wad of the green. He also brought a stack of cash too. Heyooo! He reigned over this Green Earth as the 2012 Top Dog. And he traveled the world spreading his Top Dog cheer. Although, if you happened to cross paths with him, in a foreign land, his name was Christian.
